If you cannot tell from the title, this episode needs a bit of a trigger warning. It contains dscussions about rape, stalking, child molestation, and PTSD. Despite the warning, it is actually a wonderful episode with a great story of survival. If you are able to hear stories about those topics, I don’t suggest you miss this one. Meredith is an amazing person and we felt very honored that she was willing to share her story with us.
About our Guest:
I was born in St. Louis. At age two my parents divorced and I went to daycare while they worked. My sexual abuse began at age 6 at the daycare center. It continued until I was eight when my mom married and we moved to Detroit. Then the abuse stopped.
I still struggle but I continue to learn how to live with my Post Traumatic Stress Disorder through therapy, medication, and the support of my family and friends.
