In 2015 the One Health Inter-professional Education Initiative by the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges announced a competition for one health cases to be published on their web site. An interprofessional team from the University of North Carolina’s Schools of Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy teamed up with collaborators at the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Banfield Pet Hospital team to produce a case for the competition. Their case was selected as one of the fifteen.
