Suzanne Tobey lives in the country with her husband and their dog Delilah and cat Sophie on 5 acres, which they fondly refer to as Tobey’s Timbers. Known for their love of nature, their pond is well stocked with beautiful koi and curious turtles. They are entertained daily by frolicking deer, an array of birds, rabbits and other wildlife and it is easy to feel refreshed just walking, talking and breathing in the fresh woodsy air down their inspirational paths.
Formerly a Deputy Sheriff, Suzanne witnessed first hand the horrific effects of domestic violence, bullying, and other forms of abuse and neglect. Fueling her passion to make a difference in the lives of others, it is no surprise that in 2000 she went back to school to obtain her Masters in Social Work from Michigan State University graduating top of her class in 2004.
Suzanne continues to positively impact those she counsels by reducing stress through coping strategies and breaking the cycle of trauma. Her emphasis remains focused on the whole person during their restoration and healing journey. She gives God the glory for past clients, who have successfully found new
growth opportunities for their healing, including police officers, pastors, foster children, military men and women, and domestic abuse victims.
If you are dealing with the death of a loved one, depression, PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), anxiety, ADD, ADHD, stress or something that causes your heart to ache, Suzanne would love to meet with you to discuss your options.
Suzanne C. Tobey, Licensed Master of Social work currently offering tele-med, continues to work in the Office of Field Education as a Student Advisor for University of Michigan and is the Clinical Director of The Well of Waterford, and is the Owner/Director of Life Learning Therapy Services.
