Leah Summer is a singer and songwriter who writes her own material as well as co-writes with other artists and songwriters. Leah has overcome childhood abuse, domestic violence and trauma through her dedication to prayer, CBT and DBT therapies, and an unparalleled resilience. Her lyrics and vocals are both soft and biting, that invites the listener to sink in and feel real emotions through Leah’s authenticity and passion. Leah’s message is that of overcoming, persevering and never giving up on life- no matter what. She has experienced her own battles with mental health and has reached a point in her own recovery where she wants to share her message and the coping tools she has learned in her own healing process with others going through similar situations. Leah Summer sets an example of what it is to choose getting better over staying bitter and choosing victory over victimhood. “Don’t Stop” gifted Leah with the incredible opportunity to work with Chuck Wright of Quiet Riot and Coby Linder of Say Anything. Leah’s work has been featured in Sony Picture’s “Easy A” Motion Picture and soundtrack, on MTV’s “The Hills”, on Netflix’s “Selling Sunset”, and her collaboration with Industrial band KMFDM can be heard on IMDB’s “Cam2Cam”. Her work ethic, passion and guts set Leah apart in a powerful way. Leah’s ability to write her truth while including her audience by writing catchy and infectious melodies with memorable hooks has helped carry Leah to the next level in music. “Don’t Stop” starts out soft and tamed then unleashes with driving bass and drums. The dynamics, both sonically and visually, make this a must watch. Mad respect to Don Cotton and the crew behind this music video. There was so much love, sweat, passion and truth that we all were able to pour out into this project. God Bless you all, and thank you for watching!
