Anxiety is something that all humans face, some more often than others. This video discusses the cycle of anxiety, which begins when you’re first confronted with that thing that makes you feel nervous, afraid or anxious. When you’re challenged by this, you start to develop these uncomfortable symptoms, symptoms of anxiety, like a fast beating or irregular heart beat, feeling light headed, you sometimes start sweating, often not being able to sit still for 5 minutes and thoughts of being overwhelmed or afraid when these symptoms begin to hit you. The main thing we desire at this time is for these intolerable, awkward, and unwelcome symptoms to go away.
The cycle of anxiety is a great tool that we can use to gauge our anxiety and determine the best course of action to eventually overcome it. Exposure therapy is a great source of help in this regard.
