Ben Farinazzo overcame seemingly insurmountable odds on his inspiring journey to victory at Invictus Games 2018. He battled post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety and a broken neck and back to represent Australia in Indoor Rowing and Powerlifting winning two gold medals. He had the crowd on their feet, then had them in tears as he ran over and embraced his family.
Ben is a former Army Officer, CEO and Company Director. He has continued being a strong advocate for mental health, wounded veterans and their families, and the healing power of sport. He is actively involved in supporting community-based organisations and charitable events. Ben lives with his wife Jodie and their three children, and enjoys art, horse riding and rowing.
