Bipolar mania lingerie dance – processing trauma PTSD creative storytelling

My name is Xanthe Wyse. I have been diagnosed with bipolar 1 disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

I made this video during a bipolar mania episode. It’s improvised expressive dance. I realised that I was wearing my glasses, so started again as I wanted the glasses to symbolise the girl who was a nerd at school.

The purple blanket represents trauma. The tattoo means survive.

One of the perfumes was called Euphoria.

I felt very sensual and also experienced hypersexuality during bipolar mania.

Hyposexuality and hypersexuality can be part of both bipolar disorder and PTSD.

Believe it or not, I did the lingerie dance because some stranger on the internet told me it was a good idea (I was very suggestible & vulnerable).
