What is PTSD, it is short for post-traumatic stress disorder. “military veterans suffering from PTSD”

Post-traumatic stress disorder, (PTSD), is an anxiety disorder, caused by very stressful, frightening or distressing events.

Someone with PTSD often relives the traumatic event, through nightmares and flashbacks, and may experience feelings of isolation, irritability and guilt.

Boots On The Ground, help to rebuild a sense of safety, offering assistance on the path to recovery.

Jay Benbow helping to raise money at the Tiverton Con Club.

4 months ago, Jay was unfortunately diagnosed with PTSD himself.
The charity Boots on the Ground, was already established, and the diagnoses only pushed charity founders to intensify their fund raising.
Boots on the Ground, is simply support, soldiers and veterans, and family members, when help is required.

Activity weekends, are funded for veterans and their families, and offer life support, back to work programs.

The charity was also founded in memory of a former soldier who took his life after his return home from Bosnia.
