The UK’s leading charity for veterans’ mental health. For almost a century Combat Stress has helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder.
The mission of Combat Stress is to raise awareness that invisible injuries can be just as hard to cope with as physical ones. So when a veteran is having a tough time, they are there to help tackle the past and to help them take on the future.
On average, after leaving Service, it takes a veteran 12 years to ask for help.
Demand for Combat Stress services has nearly doubled in the past ten years.
Combat Stress is dependent on donations for 80% of their income.
For every £1 donated to Combat Stress, 84p is spent on vital treatment, care, and support.
Your donation will empower veterans, rebuild families and save lives.
What I am going to do
I will run the 100km on trails but I ask you to make a donation so Combat Stress can help the people who put in their all for people and communities and are now suffering.
The TMBT Ultra-Trail® Marathon 2019 will be held on Saturday, 14th September and Sunday, 15th September, 2019.
The TMBT is Malaysia’s oldest Ultra-Trail® Marathon with the inaugural race held in 2011. The acronym stands for “The Most Beautiful Thing”, and makes reference to the iconic Mount Kinabalu, which at 4,100 m is one of Southeast Asia’s highest peaks and a world heritage site. The TMBT course is set over the ridges and in the river valleys around the base of Mt. Kinabalu, with the highest elevation on the race course just under 2000m.
