Day 22 – 22/22 Challenge, Raising Awareness for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Day 22 – 22/22 Challenge, Raising Awareness for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Fact – Around one million Australians experience PTSD in any one year, and 12 per cent of Australians will experience PTSD in their lifetime. (Beyond Blue)

Thanks Tom for the nomination… you know I have a passion for all affairs ‘down under’! Also thank you Connor & co for the help today!

The rules are simple:
* Once you are nominated your 22 days starts the following day
* Every day you record yourself doing 22 push-ups, try your best to reach 22. If that means doing assisted (from your knees) push-ups or that you have to stop and take a break that’s fine but try to get them all done in one video
* Every day nominate a different person, try to choose people you think will want to do this and/or have the ability to do it
* Have fun with this. This is a simple and fun way to get the word out about a matter that more people need to be aware about.

If you’re not up for the challenge, consider other ways of spreading the word about PTSD and the supports available for mental health struggles in general! Perhaps some may even like to make a donation to one of the organisations listed who strive raise awareness and to support those affected in our community.
