Depression and Trauma: Micah's Story

“My name is Micah. I live with diagnosed major depression, anxiety, adjustment disorder and PTSD [post-traumatic disorder], but I am alive to thrive, and not just survive.”

Thrive Talks is an on-going series of every day people and their stories. Micah, founder of Thrive Life, [a Mental Health Service] shares her experiences publicly about her overall health, and mental health specifically. She shares details on her experienced trauma from sexual & emotional abuse, and why and how she decided to reach out for help. Most importantly, she is transparent about the daily battles she continues to fight, however the hope that remains for herself, and those struggling and seeking for help, too.
