How I Deal with SHOCKING NEWS & How You Can Be Better Prepared!

This past week has been a DOOZY. Getting unexpected (or expected) bad news can be an INSTANTLY earth-shattering. It can turn us UPSIDE DOWN & cause us to lose sight of our own strength.

I don’t know about you, but for years I felt like I was on a roller coaster. There was SO much toxicity in my life growing up & with that came COUNTLESS SHOCKING experiences & connections. I felt constantly tossed around & braced for impact at any moment.

I’ve learned over the years, especially since getting diagnosed with PTSD, that sometimes, out of our trauma we can find TRUE silver linings that help us cope along the way. It doesn’t make it ok, but there can be diamonds created in the rough.

All of the turmoil of the past year has really brought me to see just how important it can be for us ALL to get to know how we deal with terrible news & how we can prepare ourselves for in future.

In addition to using those #StressHacks we talk about, I’ve learned how I best reign over these experiences & I’m hoping today’s chat (on my FLUFFY bean bag, of course!) can help inspire you, too!

*TRIGGER WARNING ALERT: Hey there! Just an FYI that in today’s chat, while I don’t touch on any of my trauma or recent shocking news specifically, I do ask how you tend to react when you receive shocking news given that that is part of the topic today. I realize this may cause some of us to get triggered & wanted to give you that heads up. Although today’s segment is meant to help us feel empowered, please use your own descrection ❤️

Cheers,

-V

A lil’ bit about me: Hey there! I’m an actress & speaker living with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) & the stuff that comes with it. I am NOT a healthcare professional or a mental healthcare professional. I’m an EXPERT in my own situation & what works for me. My hope is that by sharing all of the tips & tricks I use that they will help you NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE just like they’ve helped me & so many others :***
