Thanks for watching the official lyric video for ‘I’m Not Home’, a song about a Veteran who made it back from the war, but ends up on the streets as a result of the debilitating effects of PTSD. If you liked the video, please don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE, LIKE and SHARE. Together we can help to increase awareness, with the goal of helping Veterans in need.
I was inspired to write this song after reading about the enormous challenges Veterans face in their attempts to adjust back to civilian life. Seeing interviews of Veterans, some of who are homeless, bravely share their stories on what it’s like to struggle with PTSD, and the devastating effects it has on their lives, hit me hard… from that moment, I felt compelled to write about it.
Singer/songwriter Joe Hash and producer/writer Earl Torno brought their talents on board, and together we fleshed it out. I can remember us feeling the rawness and weightiness of the topic. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room as we listened back to the finished song. It was one of the most fulfilling experiences I’ve had to date as a writer.
We hope you were moved by ‘I’m Not Home’, and that you’ll share this lyric video with others.
For those of you who purchase ‘I’m Not Home’ on iTunes or Amazon mp3, we thank you for your support, and want you to know that a portion of each sale will go toward helping homeless Veterans and Veterans affected by PTSD.
