Lewis Edward Winiecki, 37, passed away in his home on January 20, 2021. Lewis was born in Hammond, Indiana on December 8, 1983 to Edward Loren and Terri Ann (Kasavich) Winiecki. He grew up in Illinois, graduating from Elgin High School in 2003. A few years later, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp, but was released due to medical reasons just after boot camp. In 2007 He enlisted in the United States Navy. He was a diesel mechanic on the USS Carl Vinson.

Lewis was deployed during the early years of their marriage. After his honorable discharge in 2015, the couple moved to Worland. Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome following his years of service took its toll and he was never really the same again. Even though the couple separated, Lewis tried hard to be a good Dad. He loved his children fiercely and wanted to do much more than he was able to. He was employed in various places in Worland, including, Pizza Hut, Maverick, Blair’s, Admiral Beverage, OWL Unlimited and Wyoming Weatherization Services.
Lewis had a gift for finding others in need. He enjoyed being of service and tried to cover his own heartache by being outgoing and helpful. He was an avid Bears and Cubs fan. He loved to sing and to socialize. Being alone brought too much pain.
