Toraneka Hampton received her Master’s Degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health from Northwestern University. She has experience providing a full range of clinical services with populations children, adolescents, and adults with a broad range of concerns including mood disorders, generalized anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, anger management, domestic violence, and relationship conflicts.
She utilizes an eclectic therapeutic approach that incorporates coaching, empathic listening, mindfulness-based practices and motivational interviewing tailored to each guest. She cares deeply about helping guests work toward their goals, become their authentic selves, build self-confidence, and reach their full potential.
Toraneka is passionate about creating a nonjudgmental environment with guests and utilizing a collaborative approach to promote personal growth and development. She values therapy because it is important to be able to have a space where you can freely express and process emotions and experiences. She believes that therapy gives people permission to “feel their feelings” and break generational cycles.
Her ideal guests are millennials balancing work and life and love, persons managing dating and stressful relationships, and those dealing with major life transitions. She also works well with those who have major decisions they are needing coaching on or past struggles that are interfering with current life.
She is currently accepting guests at our Wicker Park location.
