One of the mental health risks associated with the Covid-19 pandemic is Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder or PTSD. Vanessa Barnes, a Johannesburg based psychologist, says the deadly virus is causing an increase of PTSD incidents. According to Barnes, PTSD, is often overlooked when it comes to dealing with depression and anxiety during this time. She says some people are living in constant fear during the pandemic and this can have long term traumatic effects.

Vanessa Barnes joins us now to talk about this, during this discussion we will be putting up contact numbers from the South African Depression and Anxiety Group or SADAG. Please call these numbers if you need assistance.
