New York MEDICAL MARIJUANA PROGRAM CARD DRIVE FOR PTSD



NEW YORK!! The Cannabis Health Program at COIT is facilitating their First Exclusive NEW YORK MEDICAL MARIJUANA PROGRAM CARD DRIVE for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD) Sufferers.

To all those effected by trauma and seeking alternative and naturopathic relief- On Saturday August 22, 2020, our team of NY licensed therapists, led by their Executive Director, The Happy Therapist will be available via Tele-Health to provide a brief intervention to comprehensively evaluate, diagnosis, counsel and refer clients into the State Medical Marijuana Program to obtain their Medical Marijuana Program Card.
Becoming a medical marijuana program(mmp) mean that you choose to use natural, alternative medicine to find relief from your mental health and emotional symptoms.

Too many individuals are impacted by trauma and are coping with impairment in their functioning that could be treated and stabilized with Medical Marijuana. Going through trauma is not rare. About 6 of every 10 men (or 60%) and 5 of every 10 women (or 50%) experience at least one trauma in their lives.

1 in 11 individuals cope with acute PTSD. During the current COVID-19 health pandemic, trauma related symptoms are more prevalent and have increased overall – leading many individuals to struggle with the detrimental impairment to their overall functioning and wellness.

Some of the most common symptoms of PTSD include the following:
*Intense feelings of distress when reminded of a tragic event

*Extreme physical reactions to reminders of trauma such as a nausea, sweating or a pounding heart
*Invasive, upsetting memories of a tragedy
*Flashbacks (feeling like the trauma is happening again)
*Nightmares of either frightening things or of the event
*Loss of interest in life and daily activities
*Feeling emotionally numb and detached from other people
*Sense of a not leading a normal life (not having a positive outlook of your future)
*Avoiding certain activities, feelings, thoughts or places that remind you of the tragedy
*Difficulty remembering important aspects of a tragic event

During the New York Brief Intervention Medical Marijuana Program Card Drive for PTSD, sufferers of PTSD will have the opportunity to report their symptoms to their evaluating therapist through psycho-metric testing and a face-to-face HIPAA compliant video evalution. A diagnosis, clinical referral and specialized counseling session will be provided to assist them in becoming certified medical marijuana patients with the State of New York.
All of our services will be conducted via our health care compliant TELE-HEALTH video and electronic medical record.
