Northern Ireland & PTSD – British Army Veteran

In part 2 of his episode, Tristan shares stories from multiple tours to Northern Ireland, his transition back to civilian life – which involved some time in prison, and coming to terms with having Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD); where he reached out for help and attended courses to aid in living with PTSD.

Tristan joined the British Army in 1983 as part of the Territorial Army (TA). In 1986 he joined as a Regular full-time soldier with 1st Battalion The Queen’s Lancashire Regiment (1QLR), and served for a further 10 years.
