[Part 2] Former Royal Marine & Special Forces Veteran on Working Out, Mental Strength & PTSD

What happens when you put a former Royal Marine and Special Forces veteran together in a one-off, no holds barred interview?

In this special series – broken down into three parts – our current cover star Aldo Kane and his best friend, Jason Fox, talk openly and honestly about life in the military, adjustment to Civvy St, physical fitness, mental health and friendship.

In part 2 of 3, the former SBS and Royal Marine chat health, and how fit-for-purpose and being strong enough to do the job at hand is far more important than aesthetics.

As they have gotten older, they talk about how their fitness has evolved, the fear of not exercising, and the impact mental health, specifically PTSD – a condition they believe can affect anyone – has had on both of them. Speaking honestly to each other, they touch on military aftercare, why you shouldn’t be embarrassed if you’re not feeling right and how both of them cope with dark days.
