Occipital neuralgia is a condition in which the nerves that run from the top of the spinal cord up through the scalp, called the occipital nerves, are inflamed or injured. You might feel pain in the back of your head or the base of your skull.
Trigeminal neuralgia is a chronic pain condition that affects the trigeminal nerve, which carries sensation from your face to your brain. If you have trigeminal neuralgia, even mild stimulation of your face — such as from brushing your teeth or putting on makeup — may trigger a jolt of excruciating pain.
Cervicogenic Headache/Migraines: Radiofrequency Ablation for Treatment of Cervicogenic Migraines is a controversial subject. For me it has worked well. I get up to 6 to 8 months of pain free days. I also have been able to get off all my medications with this procedure. My wonderful Pain Management Specialist took a chance on me and did the procedure and we won the battle. Please if you are fighting with this horrific pain speak to a pain specialist. Do your research.
