More adults and children are diagnosed with PTSD and acute anxiety disorders than anytime in our history. Military, first responders, as well as survivors of child abuse, accidents, tragic loses, bullying, and now mass shootings. These symptoms can be passed to family members for generations to come. Minimization and prevention tools are needed to combat these symptoms wherever they are prevalent including schools, detention centers, and families who live with a parent diagnosed with PTSD.
Service Dogs Alabama has created new categories of training dogs to support the mission of PTSD minimization and prevention.
