Refugees using yoga for post-traumatic stress healing



For thousands of years, yoga has been a lifestyle choice for the affluent in society. Drawing its roots from ancient traditions of South Asia, yoga practice is believed to help the mind and body connect, thus initiating a gradual healing process. Christine Maema visited Kakuma Refugee Camp where Augustine Ondera, a South Sudanese refugee teaches fellow refugees yoga techniques and how they can take control of both their minds and their bodies.
