Depression can be treated with exercise to a degree, and in fact there are lots of good reasons to start exercising, like getting rid of those love handles that most of us don’t want, growing those biceps and triceps, or at least toning them up alongside other areas of our body. That’s because working out doesn’t just potentially change how you look, but it can change the way you feel by boosting our happy brain chemicals and cushioning our response to stress. This effect can be so effective that many psychologists & other mental health professionals believe that regular exercise can help treat disorders like anxiety and depression.
