Strengths of bipolar – faced fears, processed trauma, creativity, accomplishments.

My name is Xanthe Wyse. Diagnosed bipolar 1 disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), social anxiety disorder.

In this improvised video, talk about some of the upsides to bipolar disorder such as facing fears, processing trauma, accomplishments. Have done some things I would never have done otherwise.

Such as a project with political influence. I founded Oz Kiwi which is now a registered charity and has helped a lot of people.

Also processed trauma in bipolar elevated moods. Trauma that I shut down and avoided for decades.
I’m good at starting things with the huge amount of energy with creativity.

Mood in this video is a bit elevated towards hypomania for me (which isn’t full mania). Had less sleep for more than a week, more energy, more productive, more tangents, noticing more patterns etc.

Will be releasing my e-book Pet Purpose very soon which is around 80% memoir and 20% fiction.
