Sudarshan Kirya is a Yogic Exercise for opening and activating breathing track through nose and throat. Basically this is a shortcut for five sukshan kriyas practised in Yoga for saving time for a common man. This provided all benefits; which prana provide us and also wonderful tool for maintaining balance in exhalation and inhalation. The one time Balance in the Prana keep us safe from outer environment and even maintains a healthy status and mind vigilant during all hustles & bushels of life.
SKY (SUDARSHAN KIRYA YOGA), a unique yogic breathing practice, involves several types of cyclical breathing patterns, ranging from slow and calming to rapid and stimulating. There is mounting evidence to suggest that SKY can be a beneficial, low-risk, low-cost adjunct to the treatment of stress, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, stress-related medical illnesses, substance abuse, and rehabilitation of criminal offenders.
Technique:- Be sited or stand in a comfortable position so that you are physically stand or sit in strong position. Be remember; that you have to exhale your breath forcefully and no inhalation is allowed while practicing SK, inhalation will automatically follow exhalation. Holistically we have developed three kind of SK for getting maximum benefits as explained below:-
Mouth SK:-In first kind of SK please forcefully exhale through the mouth, so that you are going to empty you breaths from lungs and chest area extended to lower abdomen area. Repeat the forceful exhaling exercise at-least fifty times and if possible count it up-to hundred times, but from slow to fast according to your body position. This helps in maintaining thyroid, throat conditions, vocal and breathing cord. Because SK is only to purify the body through carbon exhaling, it is very helpful in detoxing and purifying the body resulting in enhancing the body oxygen level and improving immunity.
Nose SK:- Under 2nd type of SK exhale forcefully through your nose, so that exhalation is felt through lower abdominal area through to basic chakra between anus and penis or vagina. Try to squeeze these are with the feeling that whole respiratory track is being cleaned or empty and body is feeling upper attraction in whole muscles. But be careful that you are not feeling short in breathing. This type of exhalation is wonderful for creating mind-body co-ordination and spinal alignment including the enhancing supply to legs and thy muscles. Enhances stress boosting hormones, anti-body and nerve stimulation pathways.
Nose & Mouth SK:- In this type of SK you exhale both from Nose and Mouth, one by one but with a required force of slow, mild or forceful; according to your physiological conditions. If you are a sufferer from chest congestions then slow motion is necessary. If you are constipated with some abdominal abnormalities; then apply mild force. In case of prostate, urinal or infection in the lower areas of abdomen then forceful SK is required. This SK is helpful in maintaining body temperature. Instantly improving the body immunity and releasing obstacles from the respiratory track. TB, Indigestion, Gastric troubles and bloating of stomach can be healed through this SK.
