The Psychological Impact of Covid-19 on Frontline Healthcare Workers – Professor Brian McGuire



Professor Brian McGuire is the Head, School of Psychology and a Professor of Clinical Psychology at the National University of Ireland, Galway, Ireland. Hi is also the Co-Director at the Centre for Pain Research in the School of Psychology.

Brian’s research interests lie in clinical health psychology and behavioural medicine, especially pain management, diabetes and psychological treatment in chronic health problems. A current project involves identifying the mental health needs and best practice for psychological support in frontline healthcare workers in the current and future pandemics.
