Triggered freeze, shutdown PTSD. Dissociating trauma trigger.

My name is Xanthe Wyse. Diagnosed bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

This was the end of the previous video that was cut off about memory issues with my diagnoses.

I am uploading it so can see the change when I hear sirens in the distance. I was already moderately dissociating but when I heard the sirens, I went into a freeze/shutdown state. I could no longer think at all other than some memories of trauma (flashbacks) so ended the recording. My movements slowed right down too.

When I am in an extreme shutdown, I cannot move nor speak at all. In an extreme shutdown, I am like unconscious and cannot hear anyone talking.

Triggers can be anything that set off fight/flight/freeze. I am most often in freeze state to some extent chronically.

Because my presentation of PTSD is usually quiet, it is often missed. It is subtle in this video. I have the childhood presentation of mainly avoidance and shutdowns.
