What is CBT || Cognitive Behavioural Therapy EXPERIENCE



This is my first hand experience on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). I give an overview of this and answer 3 important questions:

– How to apply (Private or NHS)
– What to expect
– How it can help

If you’ve ever had counselling before, CBT is not like this. CBT is a psychotherapeutic approach that teaches you how to overcome anxiety and depression rather than just talking about it. CBT can also help with:

Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
Panic disorder
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
Phobias
Eating disorders – such as anorexia and bulimia
Sleep problems – such as insomnia
Problems related to alcohol misuse
