PTSD is not just a DSM diagnosis. It is an invalidating disorder that was discovered and defined over Vietnam war survivors, but has more to do with impotence than just with violence, or war. Trauma can be caused by a variety of events, and it is quite hard to identify due to its consequences on mind and behaviour, which resemble, sometimes, psychotic or physical symptoms. Paralysis, hearing voices, and more apparently nonsense symptoms might be caused by trauma. If you want to know more, here I am. Thanks for listening.
