In this video I discuss some things that make me anxious or annoys me. Some things may seem a bit silly, I am aware but I can not control how certain things affect me.
On a more serious note, anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S., affecting 40 million adults in the United States age 18 and older, or 18.1% of the population every year.
Anxiety disorders develop from a complex set of risk factors, including genetics, brain chemistry, personality, and life events.
The five major types of anxiety disorders include- Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Panic Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Social Phobia.
Fifteen common symptoms of anxiety disorders include- whole body fatigue, restlessness, sweating, nausea, palpitations, trembling, lack of concentration, racing thoughts, unwanted thoughts, hypervigilance, irritability, excessive worry, fear, feeling of impending doom, and insomnia.
Psychotherapy, medication, exercise, natural remedies and self-care are just a few treatment options for anxiety disorders.
