Why meditation doesn't always help with PTSD

This is a video I shot as part of my yoga teacher training. On each of our video calls there were short peer-led meditations (max 3 mins). One particular call I was triggered in two very different ways and I explain a bit more here.

Meditation is not always accessible to trauma survivors, being present in your body, with your breath, with your whole being demands so much of someone. I thought there was something wrong with me as a yogi because I couldn’t sit and meditate – my very core bulked at it. I started my journey to meditation through movement and allowing a peaceful balance of tension in the body. More on that in future vids!
